Portraying George Washington standing on a molded plinth, his right hand holding a scroll, his left resting on his sword hilt. The plinth frieze has applied relief depicting Washington's farewell to his officers, flanked by palm fronds, each side applied with a laurel wreath. An eagle, facing left, clutching arrows and laurel surmounts the rectangular case. Round white enamel dial with Roman chapters & Breguet hands; the movement strikes the hours and half hours on bells.
