Angbai, "The One Bearing a Fur Coat," is the wife of the great male spirit of the forest, Landa, who is patron of the Poro Association. Like him, she appears at the initiation of young men into Poro, aiding in their education of life's secrets. Her costume consists of the skins of a spotted leopard, white monkey and otter, decorated with cowry shells, and she carries a cow-tail switch.
