The Three Plenties are fruits with powerful connotations. The peach of immortality, a prominent Daoist symbol, expresses a wish for longevity, while the pomegranate’s many seeds suggest the Confucian ideal of fertility. A variety of citron, shaped like fingers on a hand, is associated with the Buddha and conveys blessings.
