Sennin are the fairies, immortals, and wizards who escape
the earth’s pull through flight or transcend this world
into another, often with the help of a real or imagined
creature (animal, bird, dragon or fish). Here the recluse
Kinko, riding his giant carp, derives from a legendary
Chinese figure.
