Silver pap boat made by John McMullin, c. 1790-1800. Low open, flat-bottomed pear-shaped boat with a broad, tapered lip, and a curving spout at one end. An applied curlicue handle adds whimsy. The edge of the pap boat has applied beadwork decoration. An elegant monogram etched on the side reads "JHP."
