One of a four volume set dedicated to William Richard Miller.
According to Riva Castleman, Alfred Leslie worked on his prints in 1957: "He wanted his prints to evoke the texture of his then current work in collage. Vecchi showed him how to affix his cut and torn papers to the screens, which then stopped out the paint that was squeegeed through them. The liquid of the paint soaked the pieces of paper, fixing them to the screen, resulting in the kinds of edges impossible to replicate otherwise. In this way, Leslie obtained the printed effect of shaped paper by using it." (Riva Castleman, "Floriano Vecchi and the Tiber Press," in "Print Quarterly" (Vol. 21, No. 2, June 2004), p. 137.
