The man in the maze design represents the story of Elder Brother (Siuhu). Siuhu was a powerful hero who shared control of the universe. Over time he lost his popularity and became a mischief-maker and a vagabond who lived hidden in the mountains. The trail to his house was so confusing that no one could follow him. In his final appearance before leaving the 'O'odham he instructed them in the definition of a yearly calendar.
