The lid of this plain round, covered box is decorated with 5 iron-brown spots. The clay body, visible where unglazed around rim of lid and on bottom, fired to an orange-red; the normally bluish-white glaze is decidedly gray, a feature not uncommon in spotted Qingbai pieces.
