This fragment appears to be a quarter of a Ganado style rug (see Kent p. 19; plate 18 p. 75). Natural brown ground, no tassles. Original border on 2 sides has spirit line and interlocking black and white triangular hooks. Only original corner of central ground contains brown stepped rectangle edged in black with 3 attached diamonds. Remainder of central ground contains 1/4 'Ganado' pattern. This comprises interlocking red, brown, and white latch hooks with diagonally pendant rectangles edged in black with attached diamonds.
