The calligraphy reads, "Spring on the river; the sun rises late. I have wine and flowers to offer my guests. No wind, no rain: It is good for boating and for enjoying with my friends. For the connoisseur Mr. Yiwu. Dong Zuobin, Spring of 1955, in Hong Kong has composed this poem to the tune of Jiangnanhao (Beautiful South of the [Yangtze River]) [translated by Jason Kuo, June 2015]
