Episcopius (1583-1643) also known as Simon Bisschop was a Dutch theologian and Remonstrant who played a significant role in the Synod of Dort in 1618. Engraving after an unidentified painting by Hendrik Sorgh (copy in the Leiden University Library, inv.no. 65, 1973). See BM 1868,0328.808
