A small, nearly square shawl of deep wine red silk crepe covered with embroidered designs worked in the same color of silk twist thread. The shawl features a wide border of floral elements and leaves that on all flour sides. In the four interior corners of the border contain additional bouquets of flowers. Embroidery consists almost entirely of satin stitch and is virtually reversible. A long knotted fringe, also red, finishes the edges on all sides.
