The body is decorated with a pine tree which stretches over the shoulder. Behind the tree, there is a large rock and two sprays of bamboo. Standing on one leg on top of the rock, is a large bird with a long, thin neck looking up at the moon in clouds overhead.
The small vase has a short neck flared at the mouth, sloping shoulder, cylindrical body tapering to the foot, and an unglazed stepped footrim.
