Cylindrical staff with finial and knobbed end. Knobbed end is spherical. Shaft is unornamented. Finial is 14 cm long and contains 2 openwork human figures squatting back to back each has chin on hands. Top of heads is unornamented; bodies and base ornamented with incised and relief interlocking curvilinear lines and scrolls, and nested ovals. Incised lines contain remains of white pigment.

Original attribution 'Swagger Stick' came from telephone conversation with Frank Norick at Lowie Museum, following KWF's letter to him of 12-16-91. Attribution changed to 'Swagger Stick/Walking Stick (Kaitukuwa/Lewo)' after receipt of letter from Norick and pages of his dissertation, dated 15 January 1992. Norick identifies this piece as a combination of Swagger Stick and Walking Stick.
