Staffordshire agateware teapot, possibly by Thomas Whieldon, in the form of a pecten shell. Marbled and molded with veins of cream, blue and ochre. Translucent lead-glaze. Lamprey fish handle and bird spout with lion finial on domed lid. The body is molded in high relief to form two scallop shells.
