Based on Manet's painting, The Tragic Actor, 1865-1866 (National Gallery of Art; Rouart and Wildenstein 106). Printed in brown ink. According to Fisher, this impression is "from the Dumont edition of 1894, printed in a brownish ink on the typical blue-green paper of his edition of thirty copies."
