Decorated with tigers in a mountainous landscape and supported by feet in the form of crouching bears, this vessel represents the mountain abode of Daoist immortals. While a leaping deer is clearly visible on the lid, the figures remain shrouded. By tradition, mountains were considered the proper dwelling place of immortals.
