Untitled (Orangina) is a photogram with a twist. Photograms normally record objects in a way that emphasizes the two-dimensional shape created at the point where the object comes into direct contact with photosensitive paper. Here, the bottom of an Orangina bottle touched the paper and is sharply defined, as expected. But Breuer also bathed the bottle in light at the moment of exposure causing light to pass through the sides of the container and cast radiating echoes of the form that evoke its three-dimensionality.
