Mold-made sculptural ceramic of pale red clay in the shape of a bird which appears to be a composite rooster (crest, beak) and turkey (tail, chest tuft). The wings have been attached separately. The wings bear remnants of paint or other resin that has long faded; incised lines indicate feathers. The crest, and eyes are appliqued. Whistle holes are found at the tip of the tail, under the tail, between the legs and on the bird's back.
