Long length of off white silk crepe de chine embroidered with dragon motifs in white threads with dimensional technique. The motifs are laid out in 15 panels for cutting to make a woman's dress, possibly "a la disposition." This technique was typical of embroidered garments in China such as dragon robes. (per Cooper Hewitt Museum curator, via Ms. Hall, unconfirmed by published source.)
The largest motif measures 27 x 37 inches and the smallest (two cuff panels) measure 2 x 8-1/2 inches.
