A sheer black circular or semi-circular collar for a woman's dress composed of sixteen lappet-like spokes reaching outward from the center neck. Each spoke is beaded with scalloped edges, floral patterns, and leaf designs. The ground is a machine-made hexagonal black silk net. The beads are all faceted black jet [or possibly French jet = glass] of three sizes including larger circular beads with hexagonal facets, smaller circular beads with hexagonal facets, and longer, narrower beads that are strung one after another to create the linear elements of the design. The collar appears to be an attempt to create a Chantilly lace-like design out of net and beads.
