Not all of Mrs. Winslow's baskets are associated with anecdotes or the name of the artist. Current research is aimed at identifying, as closely as possible, the women who wove these baskets. This design closely resembles one made by Teresa Newman that has been described in a book as being her original design, so we infer that she made this basket as well. Mrs. Newman is described as a quiet woman who did not discuss the origins of her designs.
