Constructed of coils of sweet grass bound together with colored thread. Thread passes from front to back in diagonal stitch creating vertical rows of \1 - shaped stitches on inside and outside. The \ portion of the stitch is longer on the inside than on the outside. Vertical rows composed of alternating blocks of color, from top to bottom: green, red, dark blue, yellow, brown, medium blue. Bottom is circle of wood (?) attached to coils with thread. Handles are extensions of coils, protruding from the basket sides, wrapped in green thread which is part of stitchwork.
