Long indigo blue kanoko shibori tie-dyed man's obi. The shibori work is very fine (possibly machine worked) and very dense ithroughout the majority of the piece. Two narrow dark blue lines are found approximately 5" from each end, but the last 4" from each end is left untied, smooth, and devoid of patterning. The long sides are selvages. The short ends are neatly turned under and machine-stitched leaving a 1/8" hem.
