Made as one of a pair, the body is ornamented with polychrome under- and overglaze decoration in layered plant motifs, from the holly leaves carved into the porcelain to delicate mauve oak leaves that rest upon the surface to dramatic raised balls of mistletoe suspended from bright blue lines suggesting sinuous ribbons, rendered in thick overglaze enamels.
