Decorated in Kangxi style with flowering plum branches. The vase has a square body, tapering at the foot; flat shoulder; and round neck with flaring rim. Against the light-green ground, each panel is decorated with the knarled branch of plum tree, with blossoms and buds. On one of the panels, there is a rock at the base of the branch and two birds; on the opposite panel, there is bamboo grass at the base of the branch as well as two birds; on the other two panels, there is neither rock nor bamboo nor birds. The decoration is outlined in black; the center of the blossoms is yellow; shoots, lighter green; bamboo grass, darker green; branches, purplish-brown; rocks, green and black.
