This tunic likely traveled widely during its creation. It displays the artistry of several makers in towns across the Grassfields, an area between southeastern Nigeria and northwestern Cameroon. The deep blue color and motifs are characteristic of textiles dyed in Wukari, Nigeria. Meanwhile, the tunic shape and embroidered neckline suggest assembly and use in Cameroon.
