"Two Fishermen" by Ralph McGuire, 1947. Oil on board. McGuire's style was considered to be "naive;" similar to folk-art. Using watercolors, oil paints, ink, and wood, he created intimate scenes of Baltimore buildings and landscapes with bold and charming color combinations. This image is of two fishermen in raincoats hauling up a net from turbulent waters under a stormy sky.
