Rectangular quilt composed of 20 “crazy” pattern blocks, each consisting of multiple fragments or swatches of colored plain-woven, damask, brocaded, printed, and velvet fabrics in many colors and styles, including striped, dotted, checked, cut pile velvet, plaid, geometrics, florals, etc and many ribbons. Painted floral decorations are added throughout including wheat, daisies, etc. Individual fragments are outlined with multiple decorative stitches using one or more colors of silk or cotton embroidery thread. The whole is surrounded by a wide dark grey quilted velveteen border. The lining is of pink cotton sateen. The top is attached to the lining (with stitches) using narrow black silk satin ribbons tied in bows over unsewn patches of black fabric positioned on the reverse between the pink lining and the ties. Lining is attached to border with machine stitching at the edges.
